Poem and Prose for Catching Troublesome Thoughts

A POEM ON THOUGHTS & PERCEPTION:

Do not run away,
do not be afraid.
When we escape we must always inevitably RETURN.

"Return to what", you may ask?

Return to what Is - This Moment, your life 'Now' - or what you're thinking and believing about it.

It's always going to be a moment...
moment to moment.
Present to present, presence to presence.
Awareness brightly lit.

Can you be still and breathe through this one very precious, special moment here and now?
Can we pause and breathe - and allow - the thought that just zoomed into your space of consciousness and awareness?

This is all that is happening ever.
It's always going to be 'this moment' whether here or there...anywhere, truly.

Allow it
Be in it.
Flow in it....
Breathe in it and be OK with what is
Be the love, choose the love, be the peace, choose Peace.

Consider some Positive, Helpful and Resourceful Thoughts to orient yourself in a more empowered direction:

"I can control my thinking right now.
I can control and choose what I think right now.
I choose to ...
I believe that ...
I think that...
No judgment, just 'is-ness' and being-ness."

Allowing! Letting the moment and situation "be" what you think it is in this space and snapshot in time and space.
It only exists in your thoughts. If you don't look, you don't see and it's not real.

It's always just this moment with different players, sights, visions and sounds.
The cryptic maya (illusion) and yet, even in this that there is a 'maya',
There is inherently a label, judgment, evaluation, assessment on existence being an illusion as opposed to non-illusion or Truth, or Wholeness, or Purity and Realness.

From God & Source & Your Inner Being
"It can be Okay, my dear darling. What is right now is fine and acceptable.
I love you now and always
Let the love in. Don't block the flow.
'She's so nice', you ,may think.
'He was so nice and helpful,' you recall.
'She is so considerate',
'She is so thoughtful, considerate and gracious.'
'He is so attentive and knowledgeable - perfect timing. '
'I am so glad I am helpful and resourceful.'

---
These are just samples of the positive aspects you can highlight from whatever you have lived with today. Or replace the above with whatever has really happened for You.
Take note of all the good that has come your way today - did someone help? Are you breathing calmly? Can you walk at all? These are profound blessings.

Taking a moment to pause and breath and peacefully just let it Be, for a moment the tension and dissipates - and things feel better overall.
---

Amen. Amen. So be it.

"Life's Most Precious Jewel", Poem by Jennifer Arcila

Life's Most Precious Jewel

Poem by Jennifer Arcila

A day like this has never been explored,
I feel joyful and grateful; I am happy and free
I know all is well, Lord,
Your blessings fully present here in me.

Blessed is each day with hope, faith and renewal
I intend to be the love and peace - in this one cannot be frugal.
My intentions are sincere with a heart of non-refusal,
I will forever embrace the day as a rare and precious jewel.

How God Loves - Poem by Jennifer Arcila (Nov. 2, 2016)

How God Loves

I love you -Yes, I do!
I love you - Yes, it’s true!
Do you know how grand you are?
You are born of Source, You are born of Love
You are born of ecstasy,
My divine and artful inspiration,
A unique and utterly sublime creation.

The Spirit of God dwells in you, a sacred union to now renew,
Through you and around you. We are One, ever true

Remember this, my dear, albeit no small feat,
In this awareness, in consciousness - we frequently meet.

In everything you do
and all things gone through,
I always have been and always will be with you.

"I Think, I Breathe" - Poem by Jennifer Arcila (Oct. 31, 2016)

“I Think, I Breathe”

Poem by Jennifer Arcila, Oct. 31, 2016

A troublesome thought pops into your mind...

Simply be Aware and close your eyes
Don’t believe everything you think
Some thoughts, my friend, have no heart; they’re easy, lazy lies,
They flow in streams, link to link, leading many to the brink.

Simply notice; breathe into that thought
bring yourself into your heart center.
The Truth is pure, supreme, and eternal - it cannot be bought.
Let Breath be your loyal, loving mentor.

Let truth float to the surface, for you and all to see,
All in due course, my child; the timing is just right.
Surrender those thoughts to the easy, breezy light.
And so, my child, right now - You simply breathe, simply BE.

* The End - Thank you *
This quotation is powerful: It is about Consciousness and Awareness of our mind and thoughts. Our Soul and Spirit Self is that energy/voice/inner energy that feels loving, nurturing and balanced; it does not judge or criticise and it's the voice that stays with you throughout your life guiding you to your joyful path through compassion, wisdom and God's grace. You are not your thoughts; thoughts are thoughts and they come and go and change. Anchor yourself, not to your thinking, but rather to that inner presence and energy that feels love, sincerity and connection to a higher power...a creative force that pushes you to be loving, kind, caring, and generous. Trust yourself to discover this Inner Resource and to focus on this particular relationship.

Remind yourself daily, moment to moment: How am I breathing? Breathe in through the Nose, deeply into the belly, and exhale through the Nose, releasing whatever does not serve your joy and highest good. Let it go and come back to your Inner Peace.

A Divine Unfolding - poem by J.Arcila (22/12/14)

*A DIVINE UNFOLDING*

by J.Arcila

It's a brand new day, a brilliant, amazing, spectacular day.
Taking a breath - a resounding inhale - that's all I need to give thanks,
Thank you, God, for this new start and the night that came before,
Every sunrise is preceded by a darkness.
I love that darkness too, for in that space
I regenerate, recover, renew and reset my mind, body and soul.
is splendid, glorious and divine.
What makes it all go round?
A never-ending path of inquiry and oh my, what a miracle we can even ask!
and for a pause, it's utterly profound,
the meaning of life...this moment, and knowing there is choice
and let yourself flow with the rhythms of time,
along the current of this love-filled universe.

The moonlit darkness, and even in this New Moon phase,

Who made all of this? Who chose these natural qualities of the world?

In this innocent wonder-filled amazement time disintegrates

Power to Choose

Power to Choose a thought and let it flow,

So divine.

Why be Strong - A New Poem: Piercing the Darkness

Good morning! It was a beautiful and magnificent night of sleep and now today, this moment, is a new beginning and fresh start. Thank you, God.

A new poem...my new belief system. Enjoy xx

Piercing the Darkness -

Poem by J.Arcila (10 Dec 2014)

A divine moment begins,
the sun's light pierces through the alley drawn those two drowsy buildings,
A new alignment.
My community greets me and we are one,
We can set the tone, we can choose our filter,

I put on my dancing shoes and ready myself for fun,
What a delightful start; I'm giddy with anticipation.
I love who I love and this love expands

To be clear-minded, to allow,
to take it easy...and go with the flow,
That zing of inspiration flutters awake in my soul,
Like a bird in Central Park at dawn boldly shaking off bits and pieces of frost.

Lady Phoenix spreads her wings, she's been growing strong
She has new keys to soon-to-be-discovered doors
To paradise.

Paradise blossoms through the portal of the internal lens,
A focal point directed from and towards my heart.
Divine inspiration, divine allowing,
insightful growth and expansion,
being all that I can be, the Greatness that I Am.

It has always been there, now having shed its layers
ironically blooming in this nascent Winter
It's magnificent to anticipate how Lady Phoenix will evolve
into the fruitful Spring, through the salubrious Summer, and
further still through subsequent seasons,
rising higher still,
piercing the darkness to reveal an eternal truth

A Truth revealed from within to without, forevermore,
Like the Sun's brilliance - shining because it must.

New Woman (poem by J.Arcila)

New Woman

I'm a different woman, now more than ever.
The clouds have lifted, on to other mountaintops

Scampering across my mind's eye
are thoughts and memories of the past
yet they are nothing more and fading fast.

That was then, this is now
That was me and this is me

I love them all, all the Me's

That's just how nature wants it to be.

Each moment, a precious gem,
shimmering in God's perfection
let me wear it, adore it, and prize it;
bask in its exquisite angles, glinting edges
and mesmerizing sheen.

New melodies are being sung
colors seem to glow unlike anytime before
A butterfly flutters on, leaving behind that rusty ol' cocoon
All my wishes and desires - exceedingly real,
Once upon a month, I make 10 wishes on the moon.

"The Gentle Gardener" - poem by J.Arcila

The Gentle Gardener

He's always there,
stroking the green leaves
skilled and dextrous hands
full of peace and benevolence.

He looks up, our gazes meet-
"Good morning, friend"

Such beautiful eyes
this mild, gentle man
Crystal blue or sea green,
as if his inner being has completely subsumed into the garden
and that gives him great peace.

All around him there is silent growth,
the tender essence of nature's vitality.

Today he cuts and prunes,
so tomorrow it may grow.
then again he shall cut and prune
and once more they assume a harmoniously docile ensemble.

Sunlight splashes the leaves, drapes the palms,
Taps the shrubs
infusing each cell with a stellar buoyancy.

The gentle gardener saunters to and fro,
full of a slow determination,
an apprentice to God's work.

"Homesick" - Poem by J.Arcila

Homesick

It seems we each made a deal
Sometime before birth, we agreed this is how it will be
This is how I'd like my life to go.

My life,
I'd like to share my time with these folks,
laugh at these times and cry at these others
It should all work in some balance,
Contrary Forces inevitably coexisting.

I chose to live this way.

Sometimes I miss that thing which I cannot name
The other half.
After some time, I am humbled by life experience
such that I no longer crave this mythical thing
that which I never had, the story the movies told.

I've been humbled.

Rather I am longing for a familiar time
A time with loved ones
I know it all too well, thankfully
A moment amongst many moments we have lived and shared.
Joyful, fun, whimsical and sincere instances of being family.

I miss my family
and they miss me too.
How is it we are oceans apart...
And yet so much love?
Ah yes - Contrary forces inevitably coexisting.
The path of life, the journey of the soul

Oh, the contrast really strikes my core,
Like a folk music player stringing familiar cords on his faithful wooden guitar.

The contrast sears my heart and bids me to conjure emotions of wanting and also,

Gratitude

For in the end we have this life to live
A family to love, somewhere
We made our choices well in advance.

Message from the Universe & A New Poem: "Listen & Witness"

So many beautiful blessings abound. :-)

Today the universe has been sending me a specific message via Yogi Tea bags, blogs I've read and a Deepak Chopra meditation (from Oprah & Deepak's 21-day meditation challenge: https://chopracentermeditation.com/challenge and click on 'Message of the Day').

Extract:
We may carry long held ideas that were given to us by others about who we are that influence our perceptions about what we want in life. Today, as we meditate together, give yourself permission to let go as you sink into the meditation. Let your heart and soul speak to you as we travel within to hear our inner song of truth. Breathe deeply and receive. Today is a day filled with transformational opportunity. Today we let our hearts lead the way for all of the answers we seek live within- all we have to do is listen.

The message is: "listen more". Listen to what? I wonder. To what the universe has to say? to what my friends and family are saying, literally? To what the surrounding circumstances, occurrences and actions of others are communicating?
There are countless messages in the multitude of things we see and encounter. It's only a matter of choosing to focus on a particular thing and deliberately interpreting it for meaning or a message. At the end of the day, the messages anyone extracts are subjective and will present lessons that one person may see and value yet not the other.

So my consideration is to heed this advice and, thus, I will be more observant. I will listen to the people, situations and elements around me. Sometimes the answer is right in front of our very own eyes yet we assume we must seek it out through the distance. We just don't see it, or ignore its simple, straightforward and uncomplicated existence.

These days I prefer to think that life should be easy, enjoyable and pleasant, and that things generally work out when we look at the bigger picture and frame within its context. Perhaps I just need to listen to nature and appreciate the fact that we're finally experiencing the Winter season in Dubai. The evenings are cooler, mornings remain gray for longer and also fresh, and there are stronger winds ruffling the leaves of the many Palms that adorn this arid yet spirited city.

Letting Go - poem by JArcila, 12 Nov 13

Letting Go

I thought I'd never see you again
and here you are,
Here we go again.
One more ride, one more time?
Will it work out now?
In all our time together, something was off!
I never really felt fine,

always yearning you could be mine
Then I felt doubtful, felt some regret
My question now: is it even worth a try?
I think it's best to let it go,
let things be, apart.

That's how life intended us to be-
In thoughts but not real life.

Look there!
A dreamy cloud floating airily across the sky
passing through and scattering soon enough.

That's how life intends us to be,
this is what I've learned to see.
